By using Oak Tree Montessori services or attending our sessions, you agree to the following terms. These terms help ensure that we can offer a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment for all.

1. About Us

Oak Tree Montessori is a Montessori inspired home education tutor group. We are not a school or childcare provider and operate in partnership with home-educating families.

2. Parent Responsibility

Parents and carers remain legally responsible for their child's education under UK law. Oak Tree Montessori is here to support home-educators on their journey but does not replace a parent’s role as the primary educator.

3. Participation & Behaviour

We ask all families to help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and child-centred environment. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated, as the wellbeing of the group is our priority.

4. Safeguarding

We take the safeguarding of children very seriously. All adults working with children have been DBS checked. Our designated safeguarding lead is Beth Deverson. We have a comprehensive safeguarding policy which can be viewed here. 

5. Fees & Cancellations

• Fees must be paid for in advance, as outlined in our Fees and Cancellation Policy
• We require a minimum of one term’s notice—typically six weeks—if you wish to cancel
  your child’s place.
• If we need to cancel a tuition day, with advanced notice, we will offer a refund or credit.

6. Health & Safety

Parents must inform us of any relevant medical, learning, or dietary needs. Children should arrive suitably dressed and prepared for the day’s activities. Parents are responsible for their child before and after each session.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify families of any significant changes.
